Fair Lawn Tennis Courts Undergoing $94K Refurbishment

Some of the courts were damaged in floods.

The Fair Lawn Council passed a resolution last week authorizing a contract to refurbish borough tennis courts.

The $94,945 contract awarded to American Tennis Courts, Inc. includes work on nine of the borough's courts, according to Acting Borough Manager Jim Van Kruiningen. The company, based in Baltimore, Md., was the low bidder for the work, according to the resolution.

Some of the courts only require minor work like patching or new nets. The courts at Memorial Park were flooded during past storms and will require more extensive work, Van Kruiningen said.
