Sen. Gordon, County Officials Among Birdshall Donation Recipients

The bankrupt engineering firm illegally donated to numerous politicians across New Jersey, according to a Star-Ledger report.

Numerous Bergen County politicians received donations made illegally by engineering firm Birdsall Services Group between 2008 and 2012, The Star-Ledger reported Sunday.

The company allegedly made more than 1,000 donations during that time worth more than $1 million, while raking in public contracts worth $84 million, according to the report.

The donations broke party lines, the paper reported. Among the local recepients were Fair Lawn's Sen. Bob Gordon, 2008 and 2010 Democrat Saddle Brook Council candidates, Asw. Connie Wagner, Bergen County Executive Kathleen Donovan, Freeholder David Ganz and Clerk John Hogan, as well as numerous groups like the District 38 Democrats and Bergen County Republican Organization.
