Both districts have already announced they will delay their openings Thursday due to the wintry weather conditions.

Saddle Brook superintendent Kathryn Fedina will make a decision by 6 a.m. Thursday whether to cancel school entirely depending on if the Middle School/High School, Franklin Elementary and Long Elementary have regained power. All three are currently in the dark, Police Chief Bob Kugler said.

"It's a wait and see and decide last minute decision," Kugler said via text. noting that police would discuss the matter with Fedina early Thursday morning. "No power, and obviously no fire alarm and heat will dictate the cancellation of school."

All Fair Lawn public schools will open at 9:35 a.m., board of education president Michael Rosenberg said. Additional information is available on the district's website.
