Winter Storm Prompts Early Dismissal for Fair Lawn, Saddle Brook Schools

Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook public schools will dismiss early Friday in advance of the major winter storm predicted to impact the area.

Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook public schools will let out early Friday in advance of the impending blizzard expected to dump between six inches and two feet of snow on the tri-state area Friday into Saturday.

Fair Lawn High School will dismiss  at 12:25 p.m. Friday and all other schools will let out at 12:45 p.m., according to the school district's website. Lunch will be served at all schools.

The district's PM programs -- PM Kindergarten, PM KECO and PM Edison Kindergarten -- are cancelled. AM programs will dismiss at their normal times.

The Van Riper Ellis Christian School will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. Friday due to the storm. The aftercare program has been cancelled.

St. Anne's is dismissing students at 12:15 p.m. and there will be no extended care.

Saddle Brook Middle School and High School will dismiss at 12:25 p.m. All other Saddle Brook public schools, including the Community School, will release students at 1 p.m., township emergency managment coordinator John Tuohy said. All after school and aftercare programs are cancelled.
