Radburn Family Day Draws 1,000 Visitors

The annual event included games, music, rides and other family activities.

The Radburn Citizens' Association hosted their 37th annual Family Day in the Radburn parks Friday and Saturday.

More than 1,000 people reportedly attended the event, even as temperatures hit 95 degrees.

“It's Radburn's biggest event of the year and it couldn't have gone better, despite the heat,” Association President Eric Schutz said.

To cool off, the event included swimming, water volleyball, spray from a fire truck and a jousting contest over the pool.

There were competitions in pie eating, hula hooping, dancing, a tug of war and a 198-contestant egg toss. The event also featured a magic show, trackless train, petting zoo, pony rides, water slide, bounce house, rock wall, obstacle course, spin art and carnival games.
