Agape Road Show Performs Twice for Mother's Day

Singers are needed for upcoming Mother's Day performances at the Opportunity Center and Maple Glen Center.

The Agape Road Show, a 12-member non-profit group of musicians, singers, poets, actors, storytellers, acrobats and comedians that offers entertainment to residents in convalescent hospitals and nursing homes will perform two Mother's Day shows in Fair Lawn this week.

The group will perform on Tuesday at , located at 13-19 Fair Lawn Avenue, and on Saturday at .

Agape's highly interactive performance Tuesday for an audience of 25 developmentally disabled young adults at The Opportunity Center will begin at 1 p.m.

Their Saturday afternoon performance celebrating mothers and grandmothers for over 50 senior citizens at Maple Glen begins at 2 p.m.

Volunteers of all ages and talent levels are welcome to join the group, whose program includes sing-along songs, jokes, magic and an original comedy skit.

The Agape Road Show, which has been performing free shows at nursing homes and hospitals for five years in Northern New Jersey, is composed mostly of volunteers, both children and adults, from local church choirs.
