Fair Lawn High Students Donate $1,100 to ADA Playground

Students from the school's Interact Club raised the money at a charity cut-a-thon in May.

Students from Fair Lawn High School's Interact Club presented a $1,100 check to the ADA Advisory Committee during the committee's last meeting.

The students raised the money during a charity cut-a-thon held at Bellezza Salon in Glen Rock in May.

The funds are slated to go toward a new barrier-free playground planned to be built in Fair Lawn. The playground will allow children of differing physical abilities, including those with special needs, to play side-by-side.

The committee has raised a total of about $5,000, Councilwoman Lisa Swain said last week. They are continuing to fundraise for the project.
