Green Team Chair Thanks Community For 3K Support

The Green Team congratulates the 30 people who came and completed our 3K benefit walk on June 9. Together we raised $325 for the Fair Lawn Human Services Trust Fund.

 It was a beautiful day, and a great walk. Thank you to the sponsors of the walk:
 River Road Improvement Corporation for sponsoring the door prizes;
 Jack Daniels VW dealership for raffling and the Hybrid car for a weekend;
 Fisher's Cafe for the lunch for 2; and the
 Fair Lawn Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention

 Bill Harris and Jeanette Nelke, who crossed the finish line first, had the following statistics about their walk - they walked 4771 steps in 32 minutes, at a rate of 4.5 KPM and they burned 221.9 calories. All of the participants are winners, and we look forward to more One Pound at a Time community activities.
