PSE&G Work to Close Portion of Plaza Road

Work to install new manholes and conduits is expected to last three weeks.

Work for PSE&G's electric grid upgrade project will cause road closings and detours on a portion of Plaza Road for three weeks, according to a notice from Fair Lawn officials.

The work will take place on Plaza between Berdan Avenue and Madelyne Place, Fairmount Place and 22nd Street.

The work is not expected to impact electric service, but drivers should note signs for detours. Bad weather could delay the project, according to the notice.

PSE&G crews have been working to connect new 69,000-volt wires from substations in Fair Lawn and Paramus as part of a plan which would help increase output and prevent blackouts, according to the utility. The Plaza Road work will involve installing new manholes and conduit.
