Collection For Typhoon Victims, Thanksgiving This Week
Here's a look at the week ahead in Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook.
Fair Lawn's recycling schedule has been changed as follows for this week: Monday, Section 5 - commingle and yard waste; Tuesday, Section 1 and Section 3 - commingle only; Wednesday, Section 2 and Section 4 - commingle only.
Fair Lawn will offer free blood pressure screenings from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday in the borough municipal building.
The Fair Lawn Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the borough municipal building. The agenda is available here.
The Saddle Brook Planning Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the town hall. The agenda is available here.
Hanukkah starts Wednesday evening.
Local government offices will be closed for Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday.
Fair Lawn will host "Fair Lawn Filipino Relief Friday" for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan at the Fair Lawn Community Center from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Checks should be made out to the Filipino American Association of Fair Lawn with the notation "Filipino Relief.”
Saddle Brook will hold the town tree lighting at 6 p.m. Friday outside town hall.
