Veterans Day, Holiday Shopping, 'Parkland' Screening This Week

Here's a look at the week ahead in Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook.

Monday is Veterans Day. Local government offices will be closed.

Fair Lawn will hold a Veterans Day ceremony outside the municipal building at 11 a.m.

The Saddle Brook Council will hold a work session at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the town hall.

The Fair Lawn Council's public session starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the municipal building. The agenda is available here.

The Fair Lawn Library will host its weekly Scrabble game from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The "Talk it Up" middle school book club meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Fair Lawn Library. See the Reference Librarian on Level D to register.

The Saddle Brook Council will hold their regular meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in town hall.

Smith School will hold its second annual holiday shopping night at 5 p.m. Friday. More than 30 vendors are participating. Email sbsmithschoolpta@gmail.com for more info.

The Fair Lawn Library will host a free screening of "Parkland," about assassination of President John F. Kennedy, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Show up before it starts or don't get a seat.
