Wreaths Across America, Sandy Hook Memorial, 'Farewell' Dinner This Weekend
Here's a look at what's going on this weekend in Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook.
Dance Education Unlimited, which recently opened, will host a "Kidz Musik" event for children between 6 months- and 4 years-old Friday. RSVP to kidzmusik@gmail.com.
There will also be "farewell" dinner event for outgoing deputy mayors Ed Trawinski and Jeanne Baratta from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Knights of Columbus Friday. Tickets cost a suggested $30 and can be purchased at the door.
Fair Lawn will host a Wreaths Across America ceremony at noon Saturday. The organization organizes wreath-layings at veterans' cemeteries across the country, including Arlington National Cemetery. Unwrapped gifts for Toys For Tots can also be dropped-off at the event.
The First Reformed Church of Saddle Brook will host a memorial to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting at 7 p.m. Saturday. Attendees are asked to bring nonperishable food items for the pantry.
St. Anne's will hold their annual Christmas choral concert at 5 p.m. Sunday.
Singer/songwriter Alice Leon will perform at the Fair Lawn Jewish Center at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets cost $25 and will be available at the door.
