The human services department provides assistance for residents experiencing difficult times. Programs include food pantry, holiday meals, meals on wheels, and free pool tags for low-income and permanently disabled residents. Residents can also sign up for volunteer opportunities through the department. Additionally, Human Services runs a free mini-bus in Fair Lawn from Monday through Saturday, and provides those in need with a resource list of home services providers, including companions, certified aides, drivers for a fee, seamstresses, carpet cleaning, yard work, odd jobs, hairdressers, snow removal, medical transportation, shopping and housekeepers.
