Fair Lawn E-Waste Pioneer Awarded Elite Recycling Status

Electronics recycler AnythingIT, which has offices on Zink Place, announced this week that it had been awarded Bergen County's first Class D recycling permit.

AnythingIT, a Fair Lawn-based technology electronics recycler and e-waste handler, announced a milestone expansion of its recycling capabilities Tuesday at a ribbon cutting that was attended by Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, County Executive Kathleen Donovan, Sen. Bob Gordon and multiple Fair Lawn council members. The event celebrated AnythingIT's receipt of Bergen County's first Class D (Universal Waste) permit, which puts it among a select few electronic recyclers in the state and enables the company to expand services for existing customers by permitting them to shred materials onsite, de-manufacture consumer electronic and accept universal e-waste. “E-waste is the fastest growing type of municipal solid waste in the country," AnythingIT CEO …
