Former New York Giant Harry Carson will not run for Congress in the newly drawn 5th district, according to published reports Tuesday. Carson told Bergen County Democratic Lou Stellato that his “heart was not in the run and he could not commit the time,” PolitickerNJ.com first reported. The death of Carson’s brother might have contributed to the Hall of Famer’s decision, according to a report on NorthJersey.com.
