VREBBC Distributes Relief Supplies for Sandy Victims
An Ohio group with connections to the Van Riper Ellis Broadway Baptist Church in Fair Lawn donated two trailer loads of supplies to hurricane relief efforts this weekend.
The Van Riper Ellis Broadway Baptist Church's extended family stretches far and wide. On Saturday, a gracious group of ten volunteers from Marysville, Ohio drove all day to deliver two trailer loads of hurricane relief supplies to the church. New Jersey native Jason Comstock, who led the Marysville delivery team, spearheaded the donation efforts after seeing the destruction caused by Sandy. He called his aunt, a VREBBC trustee, to see what he could do to help his home state, and she set him up with VREBBC Pastor David Boone. Boone arranged with a former VREBBC associate pastor, who is now senior pastor at a church in Manasquan, to distribute the relief items as needed.
