Monday, Feb. 13 Job Search Support Group Comes to Fair Lawn Neighbors-helping-Neighbors, a rapidly expanding volunteer-led organization that offers weekly support and networking opportunities for out-of-work people who are actively seeking employment, is coming to Fair Lawn. Beginning Feb. 27, an NhN group will start meeting at 7 p.m. every Monday at the Fair Lawn Library. “Not feeling alone or powerless are critical factors in a job search, particularly for those who have been out of work for an extended period of time,” NhN founder and River Edge resident John Fugazzie said in a statement. “Support, discussion and information sharing can make all the difference. Fraternal Order Practices Friendship, Charity and Benevolence

The Knights of Pythias are an international non-sectarian fraternal organization with a lodge in Fair Lawn

The New Jersey Knights of Pythias Charity Foundation donated a total of $20,000 to 25 charities Wednesday night at the group’s sixth annual charity presentation, held at the Fair Lawn Community Center. Local donation recipients included the Fair Lawn Ambulance Corps, Fair Lawn Community Policing, Fair Lawn Auxiliary Police, Fair Lawn Community Emergency Response Team, Fair Lawn Community Center, Fair Lawn Community School, Fair Lawn Fire Companies and Fair Lawn Rescue Squad. Despite the fraternal order’s continued generosity, its existence has flown largely under the radar. “It’s really, I think, an untold story,” proud Pythian Barry Winston said. “We don’t do publicity real well and there are not as many of us today as there used to be. …
