The suspect and an alleged accomplice in the TD Bank robbery in Saddle Brook Friday morning are in custody, Saddle Brook Police Chief Robert Kugler said.
Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for the armed robbery of the TD Bank on Floral Lane in Saddle Brook Friday morning, Police Chief Robert Kugler said. The man, identified as Jorge Rodriguez, and an alleged accomplice were taken into custody around 4:30 p.m. Friday after being found in a Graham Terrace home just a couple blocks from the bank, Kugler said. Rodriguez, of South River, was charged with robbery, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful use. Another man, whom police found in the home and believe to be an associate of Rodriguez, was also taken into custody, but is only considered a person of interest at this point, Kugler said. A man robbed the TD Bank branch on River Road Monday around 2:19 p.m., Fair Lawn police said.
Fair Lawn police Tuesday released surveillance images of the man who allegedly robbed the TD Bank on River Road Monday afternoon. The suspect, described as an approximately 6-foot tall, 170-pound black male between 25 and 30 years of age with some facial hair, can be seen in the photographs wearing a light brown Adidas hooded sweatshirt, black winter gloves and a dark colored cap. Police said he entered the bank around 2:19 p.m. Monday and passed the teller a note demanding money. Bank employees told police that the suspect neither spoke nor brandished a weapon.
