Longtime Township Volunteer Promoted to Police Sergeant
Anthony Maneri, a 19-year veteran of the Saddle Brook Police Department, was one of three officers promoted last week.
It's shaping up to be a pretty exciting two weeks for the Maneri family. Last week, Anthony, a longtime Saddle Brook resident and police officer, earned a promotion to Sergeant after 19 years on the force. This week, his son, Steve, is one step closer to earning a roster spot with the Kansas City Chiefs. The 24-year-old converted offensive tackle who shed more than 40 pounds this offseason in an effort to transition to tight end, made the team's first roster cut Sunday. By Friday, Steve will know whether he's made the Chiefs' opening day roster as its third tight end.
