Fair Lawn E-Waste Pioneer Awarded Elite Recycling Status

Electronics recycler AnythingIT, which has offices on Zink Place, announced this week that it had been awarded Bergen County's first Class D recycling permit.

AnythingIT, a Fair Lawn-based technology electronics recycler and e-waste handler, announced a milestone expansion of its recycling capabilities Tuesday at a ribbon cutting that was attended by Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, County Executive Kathleen Donovan, Sen. Bob Gordon and multiple Fair Lawn council members. The event celebrated AnythingIT's receipt of Bergen County's first Class D (Universal Waste) permit, which puts it among a select few electronic recyclers in the state and enables the company to expand services for existing customers by permitting them to shred materials onsite, de-manufacture consumer electronic and accept universal e-waste. “E-waste is the fastest growing type of municipal solid waste in the country," AnythingIT CEO …

Local E-Waste Pioneer Donates Laptops to Veterans

AnythingIT, with offices on Zink Place, is teaming up with Work Vessels for Veterans to provide returning veterans with the tools they need to succeed in the civilian world.

Fair Lawn-based electronics recycler and E-waste handler, AnythingIT, in conjunction with Verizon, is donating 33 laptops to returning military veterans through the volunteer organization Work Vessels for Veterans (WVFV). Work Vessels for Veterans, started in 2008 with the gift of a fishing boat for a returning Iraq veteran, exists to assist veterans by providing them with whatever start-up tools they need in their return to civilian careers or educational pursuits. The organization’s co-founder, Dave Mason, a former singer-songwriter and guitarist for the English rock band Traffic, presented one of the donated laptops to Iraq War veteran Sgt.
