See where 2012 Fair Lawn High School graduates are taking classes this fall.
This fall, four-year college-going members of the 2012 Fair Lawn High School graduating class are spread across 21 states and Canada at some of the most prestigious universities in North America. Nearly two-thirds of graduates are enrolled at four-year colleges, with most electing to continue their education in state. The vast majority of graduates have remained in the northeast, although a handful have headed either out west or down south. Rutgers University, with 38 enrollees from the 2012 Class, is easily the most popular four-year choice for this year's graduates. Hundreds of seniors beat the mid-90s heat Thursday to walk at their commencement
In the midst of friends, family and faculty, the Fair Lawn High School Class of 2012, bedecked in crimson and gray caps and gowns, crossed the Sasso Field stage Thursday night to culminate their high school careers. For the sake of the gowned graduates and their guests grappling with the torrid mid-90s temperatures, teachers and administrators pared down their planned speeches and gave way to the scheduled speeches by graduating seniors. Valedictorian Irada Yunusova, a budding balladist who's headed to Rutgers in the fall, read a poem titled, "The Space in My Heart," that recalled her fondest high school memories, and Class President Zach Weinstein put a comical cap on the commencement with his "State of the Graduation," speech that …

The borough finalized the purchase of the Naugle House from developer David Neidani in October
Members of the Fair Lawn High School senior class presented council Tuesday night with the gift of a sign to be displayed at the recently acquired historic Naugle House. Deputy Mayor Steve Weinstein explained that the borough wanted to place a sign on the Naugle property so residents would be aware that the borough had purchased the land. The students, Weinstein said, offered to prepare the sign. Senior class president Zach Weinstein, the deputy mayor's son, stepped to the podium at Tuesday's council meeting to present the sign. "When I heard that the Naugle House was purchased, I figured why not do something with the senior class that could be shown for years to come," Weinstein said. "So we made a sign."
