Police Announce Hiring of 3 Fair Lawn High School Grads
Fair Lawn will swear in its three newest police officers at a council meeting in January and expects them to be on the road in town by October 2013.
Fair Lawn Police Chief Erik Rose announced Thursday the hiring of the borough's three newest police officers, all of whom are borough natives with strong ties to the community. Fair Lawn High School graduates Christopher O'Shaughnessy (Class of 2000), Nicholas Snyder (Class of 2002) and John Rovetto (Class of 2005) will be sworn in as borough police officers at the Jan. 15 council meeting, before shipping off to the Bergen County Police Academy three days later, Rose said. The new hires, who were brought on in anticipation of multiple officers retiring over the next few years, should hit the road as full-fledged members of the force in October 2013.
