Resident Rapper Pleads Guilty to Disorderly Conduct Charge

Rapper Jim Jones Wednesday pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct charges stemming from an altercation he had with a Fair Lawn police officer outside his Ward Street home in February, NorthJersey.com reported.

Fair Lawn resident and rap artist Jim Jones, who was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction in February for refusing to peaceably settle two outstanding warrants, pleaded guilty in municipal court Wednesday, NorthJersey.com reported. He was ordered to pay an $841 fine to resolve the disorderly conduct charge and two active warrants— one for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle in Paterson and another for failure to remove snow from his sidewalk in Fair Lawn. The Dipset founder, whose legal name is Joseph Jones, was arrested on Feb. 13 after he "got out of line" with Lt. Rapper Jim Jones Charged with Disorderly Conduct in Fair Lawn

Rapper Jim Jones was arrested Wednesday after an altercation with a Fair Lawn police officer outside his Ward Street home, police said.

Fair Lawn resident and rap mogul Jim Jones was arrested Wednesday after he "got out of line" with an officer who was handling a parking complaint in front of the Dipset founder's Ward Street home, police said. Jones, whose legal name is Joseph, was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction for refusing to peaceably settle two outstanding warrants for his arrest, Lt. Derek Bastinck said. Sgt. James Corcoran was in the process of having a snowbound and illegally parked car outside Jones' home at the corner of Grunauer Place and Ward Street towed, when Jones approached him to ask what he was doing, police said.
