More than 95 percent of customers in both Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook have regained power, but the unlucky few who are still out should expect to be back on the grid by midnight Saturday, according to PSEG.
Barring any additional outages or restoration delays brought about by Wednesday's nor'easter, both Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook should be completely back on the grid by midnight Saturday, according to PSEG's most recent restoration schedule. As of Wednesday morning, 607, or 4.5 percent, of Fair Lawn customers and 107, or 1.6 percent, of Saddle Brook customers were still without power. Crews are expected to finish up in Fair Lawn by midnight Friday and in Saddle Brook by midnight Saturday. Power restoration efforts will continue in both Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook all week, according to PSEG's latest estimates.
PSEG's estimates for when power will be fully restored in Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook extend further with each passing day. In the utility's latest estimates, released Monday morning, crews will continue working on both communities into the weekend. By Sunday, Nov. 11, all but 18 customers in Fair Lawn and 155 in Saddle Brook should be restored. Per PSEG's posted work schedule, crews should work extensively over the next three days in Fair Lawn -- where 38.3 percent of customers are still without power -- restoring all but about 70 unfortunate customers by midnight Wednesday. Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook are now scheduled to be "fully" restored by midnight Tuesday
If anything definitive can be said about PSEG's town-by-town power restoration schedules, it's that they're constantly changing. In a span of 24 hours, Fair Lawn's customers without power have gone from 39.9 percent to 54.7 percent to 42.3 percent and the date for "full restoration" has been pushed back from midnight Sunday to midnight Monday to midnight Tuesday. Saddle Brook has experienced similar fluctuations. The number of reported outages in the township has actually increased after each of PSEG's restoration updates and, as of the latest estimate, 35.4 percent of the town was still without power. The vast majority of Fair Lawn may have its power back by the end of the weekend, according to a PSEG work schedule released by the governor's office Saturday. Gov.
