PSEG: All Power Restored by Midnight Saturday

As of Thursday morning, there were 542 PSEG customers in Fair Lawn and 99 PSEG customers in Saddle Brook still without power.

PSEG still estimates it will have power fully restored to both Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook by midnight Saturday. While Wednesday's nor'easter briefly knocked out customers in portions of both Fair Lawn and Saddle Brook, most of those affected have since been restored. As of Thursday morning, only 3.9 percent of Fair Lawn (542 customers) and 1.5 percent of Saddle Brook (99 customers) was still in the dark, according to PSEG's latest work plan. Borough manager Tom Metzler said Fair Lawn is now focusing on ensuring PSEG has a record of each and every home in the borough still without power. Whipping Winds, Snow Knock Power Out in Fair Lawn, Saddle Brook

Winter Storm Athena has hit Saddle Brook hard, knocking out power to hundreds of people and traffic lights.

Saddle Brook, which was just 107 customers from full power restoration Wednesday morning, has experienced a significant setback with Winter Storm Athena. PSEG is now reporting between 501 and 2000 outages in the township, including three schools, and Police Chief Bob Kugler said numerous traffic lights have also been knocked out. Kugler said the department has grown so accustomed to handling traffic signal outages by now that on-duty patrols had the intersections with downed signals coned off within 15 minutes.
