Monday, Nov. 14 DPW: Rogue Landscapers Contributing to Slow Storm Cleanup The Department of Public Works has been out daily in the two-plus weeks since the snowstorm to retrieve broken branches and tree limbs scattered across town, but progress has been slow. Conte said calls from residents requesting debris pick-up have been pouring in, but that it could take another three weeks to a month before everything in town is cleared. Undefeated? That's nothing. Fair Lawn sophomore tennis phenom Valerie Shklover has yet to lose a set this year. Amateur tennis ranking service, the Tennis Recruiting Network, has the reigning Bergen County Large Schools Girls Tennis Champion ranked second in the state, 11th in the Middle Atlantic Region and 63rd nationally among girls in the Class of 2014. Fair Lawn varsity tennis coach Matt Markman said he thinks she's got a great chance to win the state individual title this year after falling in the quarterfinals last year as a freshman. Patch sat down with Valerie, 15, and her coach for a quick video chat before the team's match against Northern Highlands last week. Fast Facts about Valerie: Hobbies (other than tennis): Baking and …
