Sure it would. The war on drugs needs to be attacked the same way. Once you start eliminating the top level, it will all flow downhill. Do you know how many people were complaining after 9/11 about the lack of street drugs? All of them. If you knew, as a user, that there is a very good chance you could get leveled by a narc with a fully automatic weapon trying to take out a dealer, you'd think twice about venturing into those places. And if not, oh well.

ReplyKeep it illegal and attack drug dealers with the same tactics we attack terrorists. You wanna wipe out heroin dealers and gangs, kill them.

ReplySo, let me get this straight: Obama gets to blame all of his shortcomings on Bush, yet Republicans running NJ have no recourse to blame the McGreevey and Corzine years? You can't have it both ways.

As a professional that has worked for several major global banks and pharmaceutical companies over the last 20 years, I can tell you from first hand experience that Americans are not and are far from being as well rounded as some of our counterparts in some other developed nations. The average person in Europe speaks at least 2 languages. I've spoken American politics with peers in Europe and Asia and they have been some of the most lively political conversations I've had. When you say we don't want machines, I believe your sincerity. But quite honestly, with the amount per student we spend on education in the US, we should be kicking ass instead of getting our asses kicked. And we ARE getting our asses kicked..... Badly.

Hypo,
What is the salary and equipment savings over the years going to be? Do you know how many years it takes to equal 600K in manpower, watering and mowing a football field? Seriously? Because I really don't.

You could stop the out of district problem very easily. In fact, I could probably have it done in a month. And I'll do it for free!

Michael,
With all due respect, concussions and serious injuries are on the rise due to speed and strength conditioning athletes partake in year round. Bottom line: They're stronger and faster. A turf field will not limit these injuries. Turf is harder and way less forgiving on a pivot of the foot. And a turf field just speeds up the game even more.

Hmmmm... Maybe a 700 dollar fee for fast sports cars too. They're dangerous. Lets just keep wiping our asses with the constitution.
