Summer Dance Party Theme at Next Classic Car Show
Event will be held Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
The sounds of the Beach Boys and other classic tunes will be on tap when the River Road Improvement Corporation (RRIC) hosts a “Summer Dance Party” themed Classic Car Show and Community Dance in Fair Lawn’s River Road District on Thursday, July 10th. The event will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Fair Lawn Avenue/George Street Parking Lot.
Many district businesses will be open later during the event to encourage car owners and attendees to shop, browse and enjoy their visit to the River Road District. There will be no rain date if the weather is inclement.
The Borough of Fair Lawn is partnering with the RRIC to host the event, along with presenters Community Bank of Bergen County (CBBC), ShopRite of Fair Lawn owners Inserra Supermarkets, Glam Spot NJ, Community Dance Sponsor Dance A Lot Ballroom Studio and media partners the Fair Lawn Community News and WFDU-FM.

Other event sponsors include Kuiken Brothers, STS Tire & Auto Centers, Empress Diner, Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce and Tribal Iron Choppers.
DJ Christine Vitale, host of The Group Harmony Alley on WFDU-FM, will provide the musical backdrop and serve as emcee as residents of Fair Lawn and surrounding communities dance the night away. Adriana Bezmenova and Georgi Kanev, owners of Dance A Lot Ballroom Studio, will provide a high energy performance and lessons in a variety of dance styles in addition to an open dance competition featuring dancers of all ages. Trophies will be presented to both youth and adult dance contest winners.

In addition, trophies will also be presented to car show participants competing for titles like “Glam Car,” “Cool Ride” and “Best Vintage Car.” The prizes, gift cards and dining gift certificates are provided through the generosity of the River Road District’s businesses and commercial property owners to welcome Fair Lawn residents and visitors from beyond the borough’s borders.
