Architect to Present Naugle House History, Restoration Plans

Fair Lawn purchased the 18th century-built Naugle House with aims to restore and preserve it.

Preservation architect Eric Holtermann will make a presentation about the history and future of Fair Lawn's historic Naugle House October 16.

The presentation, titled "The Naugle House — Its History and Its Path to Restoration," will include info gathered during the process of planning the house's preservation, as well as details about how it will be preserved.

Fair Lawn purchased the Naugle House in 2011 in order to protect the 18th century structure. Since then, planning has been underway to assess the condition of the house, determine what will be needed to restore it and figure out what purpose it could be used for once it's fixed.

The event starts at 7:30 p.m. October 16 at the Fair Lawn Community Center. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.
