Boil Water Advisory Canceled [UPDATE]
A water main on Plaza Road broke Tuesday morning, causing some residents to lose water service.
A 12-inch water main on Plaza Road broke between Morlot Avenue and Route 208 in Fair Lawn Tuesday morning,
The break caused some residents on Plaza Road, Madelyn Place and Carol Place to have no water, according to Acting Borough Manager Jim Van Kruiningen. Service was expected to be restored by the end of the day, he said.
Borough officials advised residents with no water or low pressure to boil water for three minutes before drinking, once service is restored. Only residents near the main break need to take the precaution.
Northbound traffic on Plaza Road was being detoured as crews worked to repair the main. Southbound traffic was allowed to continue normally.
