Hindi Story Time Returns to Fair Lawn Library

The program started with three story times this fall.

A twice-monthly Hindi language story time that started at the Fair Lawn Library last fall will be returning, starting this Thursday.

Children age 3 or older are welcome to attend the program, which will be held Jan. 16, Feb. 6, March 13, April 3 and May 8 at 4:15 p.m. and Jan. 23, Feb. 13, March 20, April 10 and May 15 at 6:30 p.m. No registration is required.

The library has also hosted story times in Russian, Spanish and Hebrew.

The story times are open to children who already speak the language and those who are interested in learning more.

Children's librarian Kate Nafz previously told Patch that the program has the added benefit of helping connect Hindi-speaking parents, a growing community in Fair Lawn.

For more information about the Hindi story time, call the Children’s Department Information Desk at (201) 796-3400 ext. 6. The library is located at 10-01 Fair Lawn Ave.
